Film8 AB as Part of Lynk & Co's First All-Electric Model Launch in Gothenburg

From June 1 to June 8, Film8 AB came to the Geely Design Center in Gothenburg to work as the Producer/Location Manager and Still Photographer for the visual creation related to Lynk & Co's first all-electric model, which will be released at "The Next Day" event on June 12, 2024.

In this project, Film8 AB was responsible for equipment rental, location scouting, local personnel coordination, and still photography.

Equipment Given that it was Sweden's National Day, all major photography equipment rental companies in Gothenburg were out of stock. FIlm8 managed to rent 1.5 tons of equipment and coordinated with a local driver to transport it from Stockholm to Gothenburg.

Human Mobilization This project was initiated by Geely's headquarters in China. To meet the client's needs, the chief producer from China organized several shooting and editing teams, including two senior directors, several photographers, digital imaging engineers, and lighting technicians. Additionally, at the request of the chief producer, Film8 recruited several local photography and lighting assistants in Sweden.

Scouting Film8 spent two days with the hired crew on meticulously selecting suitable locations for this shoot in Gothenburg and at the Geely Design Center. As a production company that started with portrait photography, Film8 excels at transforming seemingly ordinary scenes into perfect backdrops for portrait photography.

Shooting During this event, Film8 AB's founder/cameraman Shawn personally participated in the shoot. He photographed ten designers from Geely Design for portraits to be used as posters for the launch event.

Shawn was taking portrait photos of Lynk & Co's VP Head of Creative Design, Ivo Groen.

Coordination Most of the crew, including the chief producer and directors, do not speak English fluently or are unable to use it effectively. Film8 therefore facilitated communication between them and the design center staff on-site.

Shawn was assisting the Chinese director in communicating with Lynk & Co's PR & Communication Manager Annica Anderson.

We are happy that Film8 AB has played a crucial role in the successful execution of this project for Lynk & Co, managing key aspects such as equipment rental, location scouting, local personnel coordination, and still photography. We are also proud that our comprehensive production capabilities and ability to adapt and excel under challenging circumstances have been acknowledged and praised by Lynk & Co.
